We have thought out this stay around 3 themes Provencal heritage, gourmet eating and wine.

Magda and her husband have thus been able to visit Provence between Land and Sea, accompanied from beginning to end by a taxi-guide of by their travel notebook, elaborated by us which gave them meeting points at selected sites according to their wishes.

Over 8 days we proposed:

Arrival by train in Avignon

Day 1:

-          Visit on their own with an audio guide of the city of Avignon, from the impressive Palace of the Popes to the famous Pont Saint Bénezet, on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

-          1/2 day excursion with 1 driver in a 7 passenger minibus to discover the city of Nimes, of the Porte Auguste, the Roman amphitheater and the square house.

-          Followed by the visit of the little medieval village of Uzes and by a stop at the Pont du Gard on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

Day 2 Excursion with 1 driver in a 7 passenger minibus.

-          Discovery of the city of Orange with its Arc de Triomphe and its Roman theater, both on UNESCO’s World Heritage List

-          Walk in a vineyard in Chateauneuf du Pape, panoramic view of the territory and especially of the ruins of the castle (former summer residence of the Avignon Popes).

-          Tasting of great wines in one of the cellars of Chateauneuf du Pape.

-          Visit of the city of Arles and the sites which inspired Van Gogh.

-          A stop at Baux de Provence, one of the most beautiful villages of France, in the heart of the Alpilles Regional Natural Park.

-          A stop at Saint Rémy de Provence, a small town that welcomed Van Gogh and inspired its greatest and most famous masterpieces. Discovery of the very beautiful site of Glanum.

Day 3 On your own with a travel notebook, transportation by bus and train.

-          Discovery of Isle sur la Sorgue, much appreciated city which draws its charm from the Sorgue, from the Parting of the Waters, magical place where the waters are divided in two, paradise for dreamers, fishermen and ducks and of its antique dealers village.

Then visit of Fontaine de Vaucluse, where the Sorgue draws its source mysterious and where is found

Day 4 Excursion with 1 driver in a 7 passenger minibus.

-          Visit of a Provencal market (varies according to the day of the week).

-          Ride on the Luberon roads to see the villages listed among the most beautiful villages of France, such as Gordes or Roussillon.

Between June 15 and July 15, a photo stop will be made at the Abbey of Sénanque to photograph the lavender field in flower.

-          Visit of the lavender Museum with an audio guide to learn the secrets of the plant, emblem of Provence.

Day 5 1/2 day excursion with 1 driver in a 7 passenger minibus.

-          Discover the legendary Mont Ventoux

Through a walk in the vineyards at the foot of the Giant of Provence, exceptional view of this mythical mountain.

-          Visit of a vineyard producing “Appellation Ventoux” wines. Tasting of the wines stars of the vineyard.

-          Walk on your own in Beaumes de Venise.

Transportation by train to Aix en Provence.

Day 6. Feeling good day, Aix en Provence.

-          In the heart of Aix en Provence in a health resort under the sign of rest in the city of Paul Cezanne.

Day 7 Marseille

Transportation by train and walking circuit with an audio guide.

-      Wonderful day, walk on the Vieux-Port, cruise in the Calanques, visit of the Panier, tasting of typical Provencal cakes and visit of the museum.

Day 8. Cooking workshop, Aix en Provence.

-      Mathilde, chef entertained Magda and her husband in a cooking workshop in her apartment in the center of Aix. A true moment of friendly sharing.
