Provence, a land of contrasts!
Over the course of a day in an air-conditioned minibus,
We offer you an escapade to discover Provençal Roman and medieval architecture.
This rich heritage is the result of several civilizations which succeeded each other across time.
This day will allow you to discover the most beautiful historic sites of Provence.
The day’s agenda
You will start the outing at the famous site of the Pont du Gard.
On the Unesco World Heritage list and Grand Site of France,
it is the best preserved section of the Roman aqueduct which brought drinking water to Nîmes in the 1st century.
Its exceptional architecture, steeped in history, was the source of inspiration for numerous artists.
You will then go toward Les Baux de Provence.
In the heart of the Alpilles Regional Natural Park, you will be enchanted by this village classified among the most beautiful villages of France.
It was constructed on a 254 m high rocky spur.
It overlooks Arles and the Camargue. The city of Les Baux offers an exceptional panorama.
The city possesses a very rich historical and architectural heritage with its 22 classified monuments.
You will end the outing with the antiquities of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
Photo stop to immortalize the sublime Arc de Triomphe and the Mausoleum dating from the 1st century BC.
For more than 16 centuries, they were the only visible elements of the Greco-Roman city of Glanum, excavated and only updated starting in 1921.
Both are located in the heart of the landscapes painted by Van Gogh.
On Wednesday, the photo stop at the antiquities is replaced by free time to stroll in the Provençal market of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
