Charming holiday rental with pool for 8 people located in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, in the Vaucluse department, in Provence. You will stay in the countryside, about 2 km from the town centre.
You will be charmed by the town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, which is located at the foot of the Vaucluse plateau, in the Comtat Venaissin plain. The town centre is surrounded by several canals fed by the Sorgue, nicknamed "the little Venice", not to be confused with the Sorgues in the Aveyron. These canals were used to power the paddle wheels to power the local factories.
L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is one of the must-see places to visit in Provence. You can discover the "partage des eaux" (water sharing), 1 km upstream of the town. The river splits in two and forms a shaded body of water to recharge your batteries. During your holidays in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, you will also find around 300 antique dealers for the delight of lovers of beautiful bric-a-brac and art galleries. You can try your hand at fly fishing on the Sorgue or go canoeing.
