This village is especially known for its ochres. A unique atmosphere emerges there.
A golden light still seems to bathe the village. Its ocher-colored houses give a warm appearance to this small Provençal village.
Today ocher is no longer exploited in the town, traces of the past are present: the “Ochre Trail” which attracts visitors from all over the world every year. This marked hiking trail offers an exotic stroll through ocher sands whose shades vary from yellow to purple, discovering the impressive cliffs sculpted in ocher over the years up to the famous "Giants' Causeway ".
Roussillon has the label “Most beautiful village in France”, it is after Gordes, the second most visited village in the Lubéron.
During your vacation in Roussillon in the Luberon, many activities nearby are available to you, such as the Provençal Colorado or even the cliffs of Lioux. Quality wine estates open their doors to you for a friendly and convivial wine tasting.
