Known for the famous "Letters from my mill" by Alphonse Daudet, Fontvieille is a typical Provencal village. You can visit the writer's mill, discover the castle of Montauban and the abbey of Montmajour, architectural jewels whose construction began in the 10th century.
Culturally speaking, Fontvieille and its surroundings are rich in history and heritage.
Gastronomically speaking, the region is not to be outdone! In Fontvieille, you are surrounded on all sides by the numerous wine and olive growing areas of Provence. Olive oil and wine combine, each season, to delight the taste buds of Provençals and visitors alike.

On the practical side, Fontvieille has small and convenient local shops, accessible on foot from the Gite, and a supermarket. The first hypermarkets are in Arles, 5km away.
If you arrive by TGV, choose Arles or Avignon. For an arrival by air, the closest airport is Marignane (50km).

2nd FLOOR : To reach the first floor, the access is done by a spiral staircase which is rather narrow.
