The Jouenne Museum in Saint Rémy de Provence
The small town of Saint Rémy de Provence is located in the heart of the Alpilles Natural Park.
Saint Rémy de Provence has always been a refuge for famous artists and a great source of inspiration (landscapes, colors, exceptional buildings...)
This city knew how to preserve its historical monuments and promote its artists
Today, Saint Rémy has an important artistic and cultural heritage.
Many art galleries embellish the streets of the city. A festival dedicated to Art takes place several times per year, THE ROAD OF THE ARTISTS in Saint Remy de Provence
Many reasons convinced Michel Jouenne to settle there...
The main reason is the former Trinitaire convent.
This religious order was at its zenith in the 12th century. It is located on the main street.
Michel Jouenne fell in love with this place rich in history and decided to gather his impressive collection of landscapes.
