Plaisirs & Maisons de Provence invites you to discover the various techniques of coloring with ocher by attending the workshops offered by one of our privileged partners, located in Roussillon, in the heart of the Luberon Natural Park
We offer authentic workshops for coloring with ocher.
Come and enjoy this fun activity in an old ocher factory in Roussillon.
_ either at the workshop dedicated to techniques on walls:
preparation of supports, formulation and application of a whitewash, making of lime-rendered coating and coloration a fresco.
_ or at the workshop dedicated to techniques on wood:
Preparation of supports, fabrication of flour paint, creating a casein lasure and painting with rabbitskin glue.
These workshops, lasting three hours are held on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month.
The rate is €63 per person.

The chart of ochers and colors:
Creation of natural paints. The visitors will depart with their color chart.
Creation of pastels with ocher:
Creation of a dry pastel stick. The visitors will depart with their stick.
Kolormondo, the universal color:
Discovery of different color systems, universal codes, tools such as the wheel of Itten in the Natural Color System.
Vegetable colors:
Discovery of plants used for dyeing, fabrication of vats and making of cloth samples using local plants.
These workshops, lasting for 2 hours, take place every day of the week for groups of 5 to 15 people.
Just like a music conservatory, the role of this infrastructure which welcomes you to the discovery of ocher is to practice the skill that one wants to keep.
The purpose of this place is to contribute to the safeguarding, to the promotion of the knowledge linked to the production of ocher and the use of coloring substances in various fields such as building, paint, paper or art related professions...
