It is a circle hike, starting at the village of Mane which offers the possibility of discovering from 6 to 7 pointed cabanons lost in the thickets of white oaks.
2 h 30 mn of exceptional panoramas (Flexible duration and price according to your level).
The theme of this circuit is: the dry stone shacks called “pointed cabanons" because of the conic form of their roof.
You will start the outing by la calade
A stone-paved path set on their side, characteristic of the area.
Then, you will continue toward The Grand Cabanon Of The Eyroussiers,
The largest pointed cabanon still standing.
This big shack with a 40 m circumference could admit 15 people at a time.
Then you will admire a big view,
An interesting panorama where you can make out the Laye dam in the west which provides Forcalquier with potable water as well as Mane and its citadel in the south.
You will then reach another pointed cabanon close to the road,
Finally, you will pass by the Prieure de Salagon, a church containing a museum.
A roadbook will be given to you to indicate where and when to meet.
This is a generally easy walk.
